What is the Dynamic Replacement Option?

The Dynamic Replacement option allows you to replace arbitrary text within the questions/answers with dynamic data. You can use the variables/data stored in the Custom Variables or the External Reference Variable for Data Replacement/Pre-population.

How to replace text within the Questions/Answer options? What are the variables and codes available?

You can use the following variable tags. Use them wherever you wish to display the text.

• ${custom1} Will be replaced with the data from the URL Parameter custom1
• ${custom2} Will be replaced with the data from the URL Parameter custom2
• ${custom3} Will be replaced with the data from the URL Parameter custom3
• ${custom4} Will be replaced with the data from the URL Parameter custom4
• ${custom5} Will be replaced with the data from the URL Parameter custom5
• ${ext_ref} Will be replaced with the data from the URL Parameter ext_ref

How to pre-populate Open Ended Text type questions?

• Click on the Settings link for the Open Ended Question.
